Wright and Dr. Clayton Clark were called and dressed the boy's injuries temporarily, he being placed aboard the train due at the south end of the city at 5:35 o'clock. The police anbulance was in waiting and the injured boy was conveyed to Memorial Hospital were he was attended by Dr. W. H. Hodge, John Grey, and B. F. Dennis . His legs were found to be badly crushed, but-his condition was such that it was deemed unwise.to operate upon him until he had rallied. At 2 o'clock this afternoon there was no change in his condition. If an operation is performed, it will be necessary to remove both legs. His case is considered hopeless. Behnke is 12 years old, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Behnke of the Ridge Road.
