  EDWARD R. BEHNKE, MECHANICAL ENGINEER The Buffalo News - July 4, 1999 Edward R. Behnke, 74, of Ridge Road, a mechanical engineer at Columbus McKinnon Corp. in Amherst, died Friday (July 2, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. Behnke, who was known as Ted, was born in Cambria. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Buffalo, where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honor society. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served on several boards. Survivors include his wife, the former Lillian "Skip" Strablow; three daughters, Gail Dugue of Raleigh, N.C., Barbara of Niagara Falls and Kim Bigelow of Cary, N.C.; a sister, Esther Stange of Sanborn; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hamilton & Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young St., Wilson. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Cambria.
