Schoenfedt, 91, formerly of 132 Hagan Ave., died Saturday evening (July 29, 1961) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a foreman in various lumber mills in this city for the greater part of his life. Later, he was employed as a custodian in the city schools system prior to retiring in 1946. Mr. Schoenfeldt was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Electric City Lodge No. 663, IOOF, and of the Golden-Age Club. He was a native of Germany, but had lived in this city 90 years. His wife, the former Mary Westphal, died in June 1951. Surviving are a son, Alfred F. Schoenfeldt, this city; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Heinback, Tonawanda; eight grand-children and 15 great-grand-children. The funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Hamp Funeral Home by Rev. Burton L. Baseler. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park. Odd Fellows will conduct a service at 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.
