- Zuch, LeRoy H. "Roy" LeRoy H. Zuch, 83, of the Town of Cambria died Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston after being stricken at his residence. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 20, 1925 a son of the late Edwin and Leona (Strasburg) Batt. He attended local schools and served with the US Navy during World War II. He was employed as a truck driver with the former Ashland Oil Company for 20 years and then with Armand Cerrone for five years prior to his retirement. Following his retirement he worked for Randy Zahno on his farm in Ransomville. He was a member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post #1451 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Franklinville. He was a devoted collector of John Deere Tractor Memorabilia and always enjoyed attending the tractor shows with Randy and his longtime friend Richard Ellman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter and brothers Franklin, Harold and Ward Zuch. Survivors include a grandchild and several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call after 12 noon on Friday, November 6th at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, Inc. 8622 Buffalo Ave. where funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. with Military Honors. Private burial will be held immediately following the service at Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton.
