NEWFANE, Feb. 21-Miss Florence
J. Zimmerman, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Zimmerman,
of Coomer road. Newfane, and Merritt
Bendt, son of Mrs. Rudolph
Schrader, of East Wilson, were
united in marriage by the Rev. Carl
Oldach, pastor of North Ridge Lutheran
church, at 12 o'clock Saturday,
decorations being of mixed
spring flowers.
Mrs. Fred Sievert, of Ransomville,
church organist, rendered a program
of music as guests assembled
and, at the appointed time to the
strains .of Lohengrin's march, the
bridal party took, its place at the
altar. The Misses Marjorie Schults
and Mary Llndhurst sang "The
Twenty-third Psalm."
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, was charming
in her white satin gown made on
Princess lines, full sleeves at the
top and fitted at the wrist, and a
long train. Her veil was coronet
style with pearls and rhinestones.
She carried an arm bouquet of xala
lilies tied with white satin ribbons.
Mrs. Arthur Drake, of Newfane,
was her sister's matron of honor.
She wore fuchsia faille taffeta with
dubonnet bows and carried an arm
bouquet of yellow roses, daffodils
and camilia tied with fuchsia taffeta
ribbon.
The bridesmaids were Mrs. Maurice
Harrod, a sister, of Barker, Mrs.
Kenneth' Drake, of Lockport and
Miss Ruth Korff, of East Wilson.
Arthur Drake was best man and
the ushers were Maurice Harrod, of
Barker; Harold Korff, of Apple ton,
and Kenneth Drake, of Lockport.
Both mothers wore blue crepe gowns
and corsages of roses.
A reception to 175 guests was held
in the church hall. The bride's table,
where 20 were seated, was centered
with a tier cake in white and
decorated in rose.
Mr. and Mrs. Bendt upon their
return from a wedding trip will be
at home at East Wilson.
