  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 2/23/1923 Mrs. Christine Hanneman, 84, died yesterday afternoon at the home of! her daughter, Mrs. Wilhelmina Berndt, 180 Lincoln avenue. She had not complained of any illness and, when she sat down in a rocker early in the afternoon, she suffered a stroke dying suddenly. She was born in Germany and came to America 54 years ago. For the past 24 years, she has made her home in North Tonawanda. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Alvina Schendel, Mrs. Joseph Friedman, Mrs. Augusta Bach and Mrs. W. Berndt, all of North Tonawanda; two sons, Carl Mellenthein, of North Tonawanda and William Hanneman of Olcott, N. Y., sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Berndt, at 2 o'clock with services at St. Mathew's Church at 2:30, where Rev. Carl Frankenstein will officiate. Burial will be made at St. Mathew's cemetery
