  SAMUEL A. DUWE , RETIRED LOBLAWS MANAGER The Buffalo News - Tuesday, November 21, 1989 Services for Samuel A. Duwe, retired manager of the former Loblaws store on Main Street in Lockport, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery. Duwe, 74, died Sunday (Nov. 19, 1989) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital after being stricken at his home on SomersetDrive. He served in the Army during World War II and had worked for Loblaws 34 years before his retirement in 1970. Later,he was the building manager at Barker Central Elementary School for 10 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lyndonville. A former Lockport resident, he had lived in Barker for 19 years. Survivors include his wife, the former Helene Steblein; a son, Daniel; a daughter, Linda Bobzien of Lockport; two brothers,Gordon Dewey of Lockport and Burt J. Duwe of Fresno, Calif; a sister, Ethel Jolls of Lockport, and six grandchildren.
