Howard "Tommy" Streeter

Howard "Tommy" Streeter, of DeLand, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 27, 2013. He was born on November 4, 1935 in Lockport, NY, son of the late Howard C. Streeter and Amelia "Molly" Streeter.
He served three years in the U.S. Army. On April 4, 1959, he married Iva (Mangan) Streeter. They recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.
Tommy Streeter and his wife owned and operated "Streeter's Service" in Ransomville, NY for over 18 years. He was involved in the local community and enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed hot rods, spending time with his grandchildren, friends and family. During his retirement, his favorite gathering place was Gram's Kitchen in DeLand with all his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Iva (Mangan) Streeter; his sister, Sally Wilson; children, Teva (Edward) Looman, Doug (Becky) Streeter and Molly (Sean) Lowry; grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Scheck, Steven Streeter, Jessie Looman, Kyle Looman and Kate Lowry.
The family will have a memorial service celebrating his life on Wednesday, May 1st, from 6-8 PM at Lankford Funeral Home located at 220 East New York Avenue, DeLand, FL 32724. The burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler or American Heart Assoc.
