Christian Schulmeister, one of Tonawanda's oldest residents and a pioneer citizen of Western New York, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. August Will, on Delaware street, in Tonawanda, yesterday morning. The deceased was prominent in business circles, and was the father of John Schulmeister, the dry goods merchant of North Tonawanda. Mr. Schulmeister was born In Germany eighty-seven years ago, and was said to be wealthy. He is survived by five sons and one daughter.
