L. F. SMYTH HOOKER PLANT EMPLOYEE DIES
Loran F. Smyth of 162 56th St., a substation operator employed by the Hooker Electro-chemical Co., died Sunday (May 25. 1958) at Memorial Hospital after an illness of six weeks. A native of Nova Scotia, Mr. Smyth lived in this city for 25 years. He was employed at the Hooker plant for eight years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Smyth, this city, and two sons, Donald A. Smyth, U. S. Air Force, and James L. Smyth, U.S. Navy, Also surviving are a brother, James H. Smyth, Buffalo, and three sisters, Mrs. James Campbell, Blasdell; Mrs. H. B. Martin, Buffalo, and Mrs. T. B. Pledge, this city. Funeral .services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
