FORMER FALLS MAN DIES OF FLU IN DENVER
Arnold Paul Ziemer, 50, a former Niagara Falls resident, died unexpectedly Wednesday (Dec. 18, 1968) in Denver, Colo., where he had been residing. His death was attributed to the flu. Born in Neustadt, Ont., he moved to Niagara Falls in 1930 and resided here until 1942 when he entered the Navy. He served as a naval pilot and flight instructor, obtaining the rank of lieutenant, senior grade. After his release from the Navy, he was graduated from pharmaceutical school in Colorado. He managed several pharmacies in Colorado. Mr. Ziemer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betti Mae Ziemer two daughters, Amanda and Elizabeth; a grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Ziemer Schultz, this city; and a brather, Frederick H. Ziemer, of Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held Monday in Denver at the Chapel of Angels at 1 p.m. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Denver. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Heart Fund, the family said.
