PICKARD-Mrs. Viola A. Pickard,
(nee Winters) aged 71 years,
of 188 Young St., died Wednesday
evening (Aug. 4,1954) at her home,
after a long illness. Born in Wolcottsville,
N. Y., she had resided
in Tonawanda the past 42 years.
She was a member of First Presbyterian
Church, Group 1 of the
Women's Association of the Church
and the Women's Benefit Association.
She is survived by her husband,
William C. Pickard; one
rived overseas the following June, daughter, Mrs. Leland P. Cleis
ard, and a granddaughter, Miss
Jean M. Pickard, all of Tonawanda;
two sisters, Mrs. Edward
O'Connor of Tonawanda and Mrs.
Clarence Brandt of Lockport; and
one brother, Linus Winters of
Lockport. Friends may call at the
Hilliard Funeral Home, 137 Dela-
ware St., where services will be
held Saturday at 3 o'clock, the
Rev. Howard L. Davies officiat-
ing. Burial in Chestnut Ridge Ceme-
tery, Lockport.
