- WEINHEIMER - Edward F. Of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on February 19, 1925, the son of the late Charles and Florence (Mudd) Weinheimer. Mr. Weinheimer graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1942 and served with the US Army, in the European Theater during World War II. He was an Electrical Technician with Wurlitzer for over 20 years and with Introl Design, until retiring in 1990. Mr. Weinheimer was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Wheatfield Cemetery Association and the Wheatfield Senior Bowling League. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth D. (Stowell) Weinheimer, who died in December of 2010. Mr. Weinheimer was the father of Donald (Barbara) Weinheimer of Shawnee, David (Rebecca) Weinheimer of Ft. Myers, FL, Carol (John) Pearce of Wheatfield, NY and Ann (David) Martinez of Ventura, CA; grandfather of Richard (Heather) Reinard, Jeffrey (Kelly), Tina, Mary Beth (Ian) Kesterson, Jennifer, LaRissa and Lindsay; great-grandfather of Raegan, Peyton, Aislin, Elise, Grace and Landon; uncle of Bruce (Lori) and Susan Weinheimer and great-uncle of Eric Weinheimer; he is also survived by many additional nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Everett (Bernice) and Howard Weinheimer. The family will be present on Thursday from 7-9 PM and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Rd., Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 PM, with the Rev. Pierre Albrecht-Carrie' officiating. Memorials may be made, in his name, to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
