- Diane C. WiegandAge 78 of Lockport, NY, formerly of Ransomville, was called to her heavenly home on November 4, 2022 at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Born on October 1, 1944; daughter of Erwin and Marjorie (Smith) Witkop. Diane graduated from Trott Vocational School, and worked from home as a hairdresser for over 50 years. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport, and loved supporting the community by attending basket raffles and auctions. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.Survivors include her loving husband, Leslie Todd Wiegand. They were married November 16, 1968; three children, Shawna (Carl) Taylor or Ransomville, Daniel (Dana) Wiegand of Lockport, and Dean (Paige) Wiegand of Corry, PA; her mother, Marjorie Witkop; a brother, John (Roxann) Witkop of Lockport; two sisters, Linda Beutel of FL, and Gail Scott of Lockport; grandchildren, Samantha Stachura-Lee of Buffalo, Zachary Taylor of North Tonawanda, Allura (Aaron Murphy) Taylor of Ransomville, Benjamin Taylor of Ransomville, Tennyson Wiegand and Harlow Wiegand both of Corry, PA; and a great-grandchild, Amir Ibrahim of Buffalo.She was preceded in death by her father, Erwin Witkop; a brother, Daniel Witkop; two brothers in law, Gerald Beutel, and John (Sandra) Wiegand; and a brother and sister in law, Max and Margo Nye.A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and time to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport, Niagara Hospice, or St. Jude Hospital. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.
