road, announce the engagement of
their daughter, Lillian, to Earl Walke,
of Saunders Settlement road, son of
Mrs. Agnes Walke, Owenbrook, Ont.

Powley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs
James Powley. of Sanborn, to Earl
A. Walke. of Sanborn, son of Mrs.
Agnes Walke. of Owenbrook. Ontario,
was solemnized Saturday, August 14,
at St. Peter's Church, Rev. Philip
Mosher officiating.
The bride, given in marriage by her
father, was lovely In a gown of navy
lace with matching accessories and a
shoulder corsage of pink rosebuds and
lilies of the valley.
Miss Margaret Powley, the bride's
only attendant, was attired in wine
figured chiffon over satin with navy
accessories and shoulder corsage of
yellow rosebuds and baby's breath,
groom was attended by Milton Collenburg,
of Buffalo. N. Y.
The mother of the bride wore a
gown of navy crepe with matching
accessories and a shoulder corsage of
yellow rosebudys and baby's breath.
Following the ceremony a wedding
luncheon for the Immediate family and
friends was served at the home of the
bride's parents, after which Mr. and
Mrs. Walke left for a short trip. They
are making their home at 1357 Garrett
avenue.
Pre-nuptlals for the bride were a
red. black and white kitchen shower,
given by Miss Margaret Powley And a
personal shower, given by Miss Mabel
Hickman.
The bride received many beautiful
and useful gifts.
