NORTH TONAWANDA — Shirley M. (nee Gath) Runge, age 86, of North Tonawanda, entered into rest, peacefully, February 27, 2012, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Mrs. Runge was born in North Tonawanda on December 27, 1925 to the late Fred and Hannah (Broecker) Gath. She was the wife of the late Kenneth W. Runge, who died in 2005. Mrs. Runge retired in 1986 from Key Bank.
Beloved mother of Lynette (Stephen) Larson of Cambria and Gary (Karen) Runge of Coral Springs, FL. Loving grandmother of Scott (Lesley) Durandetto and Jason (Nicole) Durandetto, Shannon (Christian) Roeske and Brian Runge. Great-grandmother of Shawn, Steven, Emily, Austin, Collin and Hailey Durandetto, and Anya and Rex Roeske. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, March 6th, at 11 AM, at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda. The Rev. David Beutel will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
