A quiet but impressive wedding,
uniting in marriage Miss Dorothy
Jean Beckett daughter of Mrs. Pearl
Beckett of McKoon avenue, this
dty. and Mr. John W. Werth. son
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Werth, of
the Town of Wheatfield, was solemnized
Saturday, Aug. 16. at 6
pm., in the Methodist church in
Wilson. N. Y.
The ceremony, .which was performed
by the Rev. J. F. Leffler.
pastor of the church, was held before
an altar lighted by tall white
tapers with baskets of Dink and
white gladioli at each side.
Entering the church on the arm
of her eldest brother, Mr. Harold
D. Beckett who gave Tier In marriage,
the bride was charming in a
frock of beige silk Jersey with brown
accessories. Her corsage was of
deep pink rosebuds and baby's
breath, tied with white ribbon.
The. bride was attended by her
sister-in-law. Mrs. Glenn L. Becke
tt as matron of honor, who wore
a smart dress of brown silk whipcord
with green suede accessories
and corsage of Vellow rosebuds tied
with gold ribbon.
The bridegroom was attended by
the bride's youngest brother. Mr.
Olenn L. Beckett.
The mother of the bridegroom
wore a dress of blue and white print,
with corsage of dark pink rosebuds
tied with blue ribbon.
Immediately after the ceremony
the bridal party and immediate
familes were served dinner at the
Ray Ott club, with covers being laid
for 12.. The centerpiece being a
three-tier wedding cake topped
with a miniature bride and bride-
groom.
Later In the evening ths happy
couple left for several days' trip;
through the Adirondack regions.
The bride chose a green travel
tweed with brown accessories for
traveling
