- Wiley E. Tothill passed away February 27, 2021. Born May 2, 1933 in Lockport, he was the son of Howard and Gertrude (Baney) Tothill.
Wiley was a Lockport High School graduate, class of 1951 and served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956 during the Korean War. From 1967-1974 he owned Tothill Datsun which was the first Japanese car dealership in the Western New York area. Wiley then owned Lockport Honda from 1975 to 1993 which was the second largest Honda motorcycle dealer in New York State in the 1980's. From 1995 to 2010 he owned Niagara Digital Satellite, due to his advanced Parkinson's advancing Wiley had to retire. Though he did keep busy with traveling, photography and building his model trains.
Wiley was a past member of the Lockport Exchange Club, was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a Niagara County Sheriff Special Deputy and Mounted Patrol team member and was a pistol instructor. Wiley was also a member of the Lockport Conservation Club and their pistol team as well.
He enjoyed traveling, was a wonderful photographer and gifted many of his friends with the photos that he took around the world. But Wiley most enjoyed being home being surrounded by his loving family and friends. The Tothill family is sure that he will remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his knack for getting into mischief, and will always be remembered for saying, "If you are going to do something, do it right."
Wiley is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years, Victoria J. Tothill; children, Wiley (Jacki) Tothill, David Tothill, Darin (Angela) Tothill, and Karen Garbutt; grandchildren, Wiley Ethan, Sara Ann, Brandon, Tyler and Tristan Tothill, and Andrew Garbutt; brother, Paul Tothill. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathy Tothill.
There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
