  Notes	Niagara Gazette - 11/27/1940 The marriage of Miss Frances Marie Knize and Mr. George Henry Wilcox, Jr., was solemnized Thanksgiving afternoon at 2 o'clock In St. James Methodist church, with the Rev. Earl Burdick officiating. The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Knize, of Llnwood ave- nue, was becomingly gowned in white slipper satin made on princess lines, with high lace neckline and moulded bodice, the full skirt falling in a graceful train. Her fingertip illusion veil, bordered with lace, fell from a pearl tiara and her flowers, white roses and baby's breath, were tied with white satin ribbon. Miss Agnes Knize, sister of the bride and her maid of honor, were gowned in blue satin, worn with a pink headdress. The pink was further carried out in her bouquet of roses. Miss Genevieve Seifeldt, of Lockport, bridesmaid, wore rose satin for her gown, with net headdress of blue, and a bouquet of Talisman roses. Mr. Donald McMunn was the best man and the ushers were Mr. Henry Knlze-and Mr. James Knize, Jr. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilcox, of Thirtyseventh street. A reception was held in the afternoon at 4 o'clock at the I. O. O. iF. hall, Fourth and Niagara streets. The mother of the bride wore a gown of soldier blue crepe and the mother of the bridegroom wore an attractive gown of black velvet. Both wore shoulder corsages. After a motor trip Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox will reside at 629 Thirtyfourth street. The bride chose a blue woolen frock with black fur coat and black accessories for travelling.

  Niagara Gazette - 6/2/1944 George Henry Wilcox, 65, retired locomotive engineer, of 3695 1/2 Pine avenue, died at his home at 1:30 am. today after a long illness. A native of Buffalo, he had resided here 35 years. He was employed by the Le- high Valley railroad for 45 years, retiring two years ago. Mr. Wilcox was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and a member of M. B. Butler Camp No. 7, United Spanish War Veterans. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Niagara River Lodge, No. 785, F. and A. M., and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle May Wilcox; two sons, George H. Wilcox. Jr.. and Elmer G. Wilcox: a daughter. Mrs. Frank D. Richardson, and three sisters, Mrs. Maude Hochreiter, of Rochester, N. Y.; Mrs. Adeline Brady, of Buffalo, arid Mrs. Cora Labes, of California. Funeral services will be held at the Gridley funeral home at 2 pm. Sunday, with interment at the convenience of the family.
