Miss Gladys Wilkinson, 57,
of the Fairbanks Apartments,
Lewiston, died Wednesday
evening (Aug. 19, 1964) at the
Jamestown General Hospital
after a heart attack.
Miss Wilkinson was a teacher
at the Nevada Avenue
School, Town of Niagara, and
had been spending the summer
at Chautauqua Institute.
Miss Wilkinson was born in
Town of Niagara and had lived
in this area all of her life.
She was graduated from
Buffalo State Teachers College
in 1928 and had taught
in schools in the Town of Ni
agara since then.
Miss Wilkinson was a mem
ber of the Professional Worn
en's Association, Lewiston.
She was a member of the
National Education Association,
the New York State
Teachers' Association and the
Niagara-Wheatfield Teachers'
Association.
For many years she was active
in the USO, in Niagara
Falls.
She is survived by a sister,
Mrs. Hazel Bingaman of this
city, and a brother, Ray -Wilkinson,
Lewiston, and a niece
and a nephew.
Funeral services will be
held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the
Otto Redanz Funeral Home,
with Rev. Arthur H. Sehmoyer,
D.D., pastor emeritus of
the Zion Lutheran Church, of.
ficiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood
Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday 2
to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
