Ruth Kathleen Wittkowsky

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Ruth Kathleen Wittkowsky was born on December 3, 1916, and died on July 30, 2011, at Crestwood Skilled Nursing, at the age of 94.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Herman F. Wittkowsky; her parents, Charles and Anna McQuilkin; brother and sister-in-law, James and Margaret McQuilkin and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward and Maurine Kick.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Wittkowsky; nieces, Susan Kick, Kathleen Miller, Jean Ann Carfagno and Ann Wittkowsky; nephew, David Wittkowsky; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Wilma Wittkowsky.
Kathleen retired from Jenss Department Store and was previously employed in the North Tonawanda High School cafeteria, Brandon's Department Store and Victor Safe Co. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ since moving to North Tonawanda. She was a member of the choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Women's Fellowship.
Family and friends may call THURSDAY from 9 to 10 AM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where memorial services will follow at 10 AM. The Rev. Thomas Hardy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ.
