- Richard B. Jagow, 60, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Dorothy (Schwenkbeck) Jagow of Lewiston, and the late Clarence Jagow.
Richard attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He later attended Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Richard has been a resident of Youngstown for the past 34 years. He was employed at Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls for seven years, and for the past twenty nine years he worked as a Process Supervisor at DuPont Chemical Co. in Tonawanda. Richard was a member of the Greater Niagara Falls Church of God. He was a passionate motorcyclist and member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). Richard was an avid reader particularly of history. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, baking and cooking. Richard was a gifted handyman who could fix just about anything. He loved vacationing in Florida and spending time with his boxer dog, Beau. Most of all Richard will be remembered as kind, caring, warm hearted individual who was loved by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his beloved wife of twenty six years Rosalind (Marangine) Jagow; four children, Richard Jagow, II, Justin (Jarrod Atkinson) Jagow, Diana Butinski and Salina Talla; two sisters, Barbara (Dan) Labernardo and Beverly (Joe) Scalzo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
