William R. Simons, 64, of
510 N. Eighth St., Lewiston,
died Monday (Oct. 1, 1962) at
hi* home after an extended
illness. He had retired in
1958 fro£ Union
Corp., where he had been em-1
ployed since 1941 in the industrial
relations department i
in the New York office. He
retired b e c a u s e of poor
health.
Born in" Buffalo, Mr. Simons
was graduated from
Wharton School of Finance
at t h e University of Pennsylvania
in 1920. He was a
member of Sigma Chi Praternity.
He served as deputy
superintendent of business affairs
on the Niagara Falls
Board of E d u c a t i d n from
1929 to 1941.
Mr. Simons was a World
War I Army^veteran. He was
a former member of the Niagara
Club and of the Ongara Club.
Surviving a r e his widow,
Sybil Swick Simons; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. George P^^Eddy Jr.,
Lewiston; a son, Richard D.
Simons, Rome. N.Y.; three
