Harold (Pete) Krull, 91, of Davenport, FL, formerly of Wheatfield, NY, died in hospice care of congestive heart failure on Tuesday, July 28th. A World War II veteran, he was awarded the Bronze Star as well as numerous other commendations. He ran the family business, Krull's Inn, on Niagara Falls Boulevard for several years and worked for Niagara Wheatfield school district until his retirement. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Betty Krull (nee Rosebrock), in April of 2014.
He is survived by two daughters, Sue (Pat) Langer of Davenport, FL; Sally Zito, of Lewiston, NY; a son, Peter Krull (Melissa Booth) of Asheville, NC; and a step-son, William (Mary) Witkopf of South Pasadena, FL. In addition, he is survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Friday, September 25th from 7-9 P.M. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 26th at 10:00 A.M. followed by burial at St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery.
