- Alice Mildred (Krull) Bugenhagen (June 6, 1934 - January 21, 2019)
Alice passed away January 21, 2019 in her sleep at the age of 84 under the wonderful care of Elderwood of Lockport. Alice was born June 6, 1934 at the home of her parents, Philip and Rosa (Schendel) Krull, Ellicott Creek Road, Tonawanda, NY.
Alice was proud of attending the one-room schoolhouse on Tonawanda Creek Road, under Elizabeth Bates, and later attending Parker High where she met the love of her life, Robert E. Bugenhagen. Alice and Bob married April 1, 1951 and enjoyed 45 years of marriage until his death September 17, 1996.
In her prime, Alice enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, and quilting. She will always be remembered for her delicious carrot cake made for Jesus birthday each year. In later years she enjoyed going out for breakfast with her dear sisters.
Alice was the last born daughter of nine children. Predeceased siblings were Clarence (Mildred) Krull, Lydia (Floyd) Fiegel, Harold (Irene) Krull, George (Laura) Krull, Frances (Harry) Bachman; and brothers-in-law, Elton Bald and Frank Loiars. Surviving siblings are Gertrude (Herbert) Matheis, Dorothy Bald, and Helen Loiars. Alice was also aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mother of Debra Rose (Michael) Allport; grandmother of Christian (Christine) Allport and Philip (Erika) Allport, all of Lockport, NY; great-grandmother of one great-grandson and awaited the summer arrival of a great-granddaughter.
At Alice's request, her body will be donated to The University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. There will be no visitation or service as per Alice's wishes.
