William Frederick Smith,
71, of 8460 Witkop Ave.,
died in Memorial Hospital
Saturday (March 20 1955)
after a short Illness. He
lived In this city for 55
years.
Mr. Smith was born In
Lockport. He came to Ni-
agara Falls in 1910 and was
employed as A millwright
at Union Carbide Corp.
He was a member of the
Elks, the Moose, the Eagles,
LaSalle Sportsmans Club,
Niagara Frontier Stamp
Club, Frontier Volunteer
Fire Co., and the Retired
Men's Service Club.
Survivors include his
wife, Vera B., at home; one
son. Harold F. Smith, Town
of Tonawanda; one daugh-
ter, Lorraine B, Wahl, this
city; and one stepdaughter,
Mrs. William (Gloria) Lone-
to, this city.
Also surviving Are three
sisters, Mrs. A g n e s Helm
and Miss Rose Williams,
both of Lockport; and Mrs.
Margaret Ripple, Pennsyl-
vania; two brothers, Walter
Smith, Lockport, and James
Smith, N e w f a n e ; nine
grandchildren; And eight
great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at the Lane Funeral
Home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
by Rev. Alan J. Perrine,
pastor of the Riverside
Presbyterian Church. Burlal
will be In Oakwood Ceme-
tery,
