- Henry C. 'Hank' Lascelle, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Henry and Lucille (Miles) Lascelle and attended local schools.
He entered the US Army on February 11, 1954 and was a meteorologist. He was honorably discharged on February 10, 1956 as a Private 1st Class. For his service he received the National Defense Service Medal. After serving his country, Hank worked as a Lab Tech for 30 years at Hooker Chemical Corporation and also coached Cataract Little Loop Football and Midtown Little League baseball & softball for 20+ years. He enjoyed westerns, solitaire, bike riding, especially spending time with his grandkids and great- grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (nee Harris) Lascelle; children, Martha (Dave) Alvarez, Ronnie (Allison) Lascelle, Donna (Rich) Santangelo, Mary Walker, Susan (Jay) Wendt, Linda (Frank) Schram and Henry (Julian) Lascelle; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Ronald (Donna) Lascelle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 15th from 2-6 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319 24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services with military honors will begin at 6:00 PM. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Cataract Little Loop Football Association, Inc., P.O. Box 223, Niagara Falls, NY 14302 or Midtown Little League, PO Box 2023, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
