- Obituary of James M. Skorik
James M. Skorik, 78, of Wilson, NY passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 29, 1940 he was the son of the late Michael V. and Lola J. (Ohol) Skorik. James worked at Harrison/General Motors until his retirement.
James enjoyed taking care of his horses and field trialing with his Brittany spaniels. His biggest joy was spending time with his granddaughters Sarah and Kaitlyn.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn E. (Stopa) Skorik; sons, Jim (Melissa) Skorik and Steven Skorik; granddaughters, Sarah and Kaitlyn; sister, Tharon (Butch Hilts) Komorek; brother In-law, Donald (Mary) Stopa; sister In-laws, Dorothy and Alice Stopa. James is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, July 25th from 3-7 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, July 26th at St. Michael The Archangel Parish of The National Catholic Church, 250 27th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with Very Rev. Francis M Kadryna officiating. Burial following in North Ridge Cemetery, Lockport, NY.
