  Utica NY Observer - 6/4/1976 ILION-Mrs. Florence C. SIocum 87, of 35 South Third Ave., widow of Arleigh L. Slocum, died yesterday in the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was bom in the town of German Flatts, the daughter of Ogden and Laura Firman Crim, and attended Ilion schools. She married Arleigh Slocum in Ilion. He died in 1961. Mrs. Slocum was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ilion and the Pythian Sisters. She was a charter member of Crim-Schaffer Post Ameritan Legion Auxiliary. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Tomorrow from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home. Burial will be in Armory Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 to- night.
