She wore a chapel length veil
and she carried red roses and
white flowers.

fall flowers.

Notes - Robert L. Stevens "Sudsy" age 75 of Lewiston, formerly of Bergholz, entered into rest on October 27, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 24, 1948; son of the late Karl and Hazel (Hoffman) Stevens. A graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, class of 1967. He was employed as a bricklayer, and a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local No. 3 New York. Bob was also a 55 year member of the Bergholz Fire Company, where he also served with the fire police, a past trustee, and active with making chowder. He enjoyed his cigars, the outdoors, and was known for his sense of humor.Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie (Pongo) Stevens; and brother, Donald Stevens.Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Stevens (Jon Stoelting); and Jennifer (John Paul) Elia; a brother, Ronald (Linda) Stevens; sister in law, Sandy (Brian) Retzlaff); four grandchildren, Shawn Jasper Jr., Sabrina Jasper, Samuel Jasper, and Sarah Jasper; a niece, Laura (Christopher) Smith; two nephews, Mark (Melissa) Stevens, and Nick (Jamie) Stevens; and several great nieces and nephews.Abiding by Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bergholz Fire Company. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.
