- Mark W. Carrier, age 48, of Bergholz, was called to his heavenly home unexpectedly on January 22, 2010 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 19, 1961 to David and Cecilia (Wach) Carrier. A graduate of LaSalle Senior High School, class of 1980. Mark was employed as a surveyor with Local 17D for 20 years, and for the past 10 years worked at Saint Gobain Grains and Ceramics, in Wheatfield, where he was a Sizing Operator. An active member with the Bergholz Fire Company, where he held several positions over the past years; he is a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, was a former Boy Scout and Explorer, former member of Tri- Community Ambulance Service, and his hobbies and interest included hunting, fishing and trapping with his daughters. Survivors include his wife, Gail (Stoelting) Carrier. They were united in marriage July 10, 1993; two daughters, Hannah and Emma; his mother, Cecilia Carrier of Bergholz; three sisters, Lynnette Carrier of Wasilla, Alaska, Judi (Ernie) Fadel of Niagara Falls and Elizabeth (Tony) Carrier of Deltona, FL; two brothers, David (Jainie) Carrier Jr. of Tampa, FL and Scott Carrier of Niagara Falls; father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Karen Stoelting; brother-in-law to Dennis (Diane) Stoelting, Jonathan Stoelting and Laura (Steve) Rohring; also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, David Carrier, Sr. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach, on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.
