  Niagara Gazette - 12/26/1940 NORTH TONAWANDA — Rites will be held tomorrow afternoon for Gustave F. Werth, Sr., 79, who died Tuesday at his home, 103 Llnwood avenue. Services will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock and at the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran church. In Washington street, at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will conduct the services and Interment will be in Elmlawn. Mr. Werth was born In Germany. For the last 53 years he had resided in North Tonawanda. He was a member of the St. Mark's church for many years. He is survived by his wife, Wilhelmlna; three sons, J. Theodore, superintendent of public works in North Tonawanda, Edward A. and Gustav F. Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. William Stoeckel and Mrs. Jesse Strassberg, and nine grandchildren, all of North Tonawanda
