Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lamont of
47 Dayton St. announce the engagement
of their daughter, Donna
Jean, to James W. Bennett, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Bennett,
101 Massachusetts Ave.
Both Miss Lamont and Mr. Bennett
are graduates of Lockport
Senior High School. Mr. Bennett
Is serving in the U. S. Army,

Winfield Bennett exchanged wedding
vows In the First Presbyterian
Church at 7 in the evening
on Saturday, Aug. 23, before the
Rev. Woodrow W. Wltmer.
Enhancing the chancel for the
ceremony were baskets of pink and
white gladioli, and red and white
snapdragons.
The bride Is the daugher of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Lamont, 47 Day
ton St., and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Ben-
nett, 101 Massachusetts Ave.
FATHER GIVES BRIDE
Escorted to the altar by her
father, the bride chose a tulle and
lace gown over pink taffeta. A
sabrina neckline and short sleeves
were features of the fitted bodice.
The bouffant, floor-length skirt was
of tiered tulle and lace.
Her fingertip veil of illusion was
attached to a pink braided coronet.
She carried a colonial bouquet of
white and pink sweetheart roses
and white carnations.
As her maid of honor, the bride
chose Miss Kathy Hill of Williamsville.
Her pink chiffon ballerina
length gown was fashioned with a
tucked bodice, soft cummerbund
and softly shirred skirt. A matching
pink headband with circular
veil completed her ensemble. She
carried a colonial bouquet of pink
sweetheart roses, and blue and
white feathered carnations.
Miss Joan Flechsenhaar and
Mrs. Kent J. Crea, bridesmaids,
and Miss Barbara Bennett, junior
bridesmaid and sister of the
groom, wore gowns and headbands
identical to that of the maid of
honor. Their colonial bouquets
were of pink sweetheart roses and
pink and white carnations.
GROOM'S ATTENDANTS
Daunt Stenzel Jr. acted as best
man. The guests were seated by
Robert and Gary Lamont. brothers
of the bride and Lt. Kent J. Crea.
Mrs. Beatrice Fraser, church organist,
played the wedding music.
An Ice blue lace dress over taffeta
and matching accessories
were the choice of the bride's
mother. Mrs. Bennett favored a
cafe beige sheath dress with
matching accessories. Pink rose
corsages complemented their en
sembles.
A reception to 300 guests was
held at the Eagles Hall. The seven
tiered wedding cake was flanked
by white candles in crystal cande-
labra. Serving at the reception
were the Misses Connie and Caro-
lyn Walker, Mrs. Dorothy Thomas,
Mrs. Roseanne Payne and Miss
Linda Bagley.
Following a wedding trip to
Gettysburg, Pa. and Virginia, the
couple will make their home at
154 Waterman St. For her going-
away attire, the bride chose a
rose print linen sheath dress with
matching sweater and a corsage
of pink roses.
Both the bride and groom were
graduated from Lockport Senior
High School. The groom has served
six months with the U. S. Army.
Before her marriage, the bride
was entertained at several show-
ers.
