NIAGARA FALLS — Richard Gerald Snyder, "Julio", went into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday May 16, 2012. Richie "Julio" was born on May 31, 1951 in Niagara Falls, NY, the beloved son of Norman and Margaret (Crawley) Snyder. He was the husband of Sandra (Richardson) Snyder.
Richie (Julio) graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield in 1969. After high school, Richie served his country in Vietnam as a medic in the Army. Richie later worked for Unicco and was most recently employed at Niagara University. He was a sports enthusiast who coached hockey and played softball. His greatest joy was his time with his family and friends. "All his family were friends and all his friends were family."
He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Sandra; and six siblings, Norman, Edward (late Katherine), Helen and Debbie Snyder, Florence (Louie) D'Antonio and Katherine (Mark) Concialdi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Niagara Falls.
