 James J. Rountree, 61, of
 3827 Macklem Ave. died Sunday
 (Aug. 23, 1970) in Memorial
 Medical Center where he had
 been a patient since Aug. 15.
 A native of Niagara Falls, he
 was the son of Alexander and
 Mary Walsh Rountree. He
 received his bachelor o f
 business administration degree
 from Niagara University and
 was employed at The Carborundum
 Co. for 43 years, Mr.
 Rountree was employed in the
 p r o d u c t i o n p l a n n i ng
 d e p artment-bonded abrasive
 division when he became ill
 He was a member of Knights
 of Columbus Council 247, the
 St. Teresa Holy Name Society,
 the 40-year Club a t Carborundum,
 the National Camper
 and Hikers Association and the
 LaSalle Sportsman's Club.
 Survivors Include his widow,
 Anne Mahoney Rountree; a
 son, Michael J. Rountree of
 Newfane; and daughter, Mrs.
 Walter (Alice) Rivers of this
 city; three brother, Alexander
 P. R o u n t r e e Of North
 Tonawanda and Joseph P, and
 John A. Rountree, both of this
 city; a sister, Mrs. John (Ann)
 Gleason of this city, and two
 grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held
 at the Rhoney Funeral Home
 Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. and
 at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus
 Church at 10 a.m.
 Burial will be in Gate of
 Heaven Cemetery.
 Members of the Knights of
 Columbus and St. Teresa Holy
 Name Society will recite the
 rosary Tuesday at 8 p.m. at
 the funeral home.
 The family will be present at
 the funeral home from 11 a.m.
 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday.
