- Philip “Uncle Phil” Gazy, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Nasri and Victoria (Jacob) Gazy.
Phil was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He enjoyed playing cards and traveling to Las Vegas. He also loved taking long walks throughout the area. Phil is survived by his brother Albert “Skip” (Ramona) Gazy of Niagara Falls, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom he made happy memories with. Mr. Gazy was predeceased by three sisters, Lorraine (late Victor) Tarpinian, Annie (late Paul) Rossman and Margaret (late Don) Hall; and three brothers, William (Martha of Niagara Falls) Gazy, Michael (late Dorothy) Gazy and Emil (Doris of Niagara Falls) Gazy. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of N.F. Memorial Medical Center and Schoellkopf Health Care Facility for the care and compassion given to Phil. Funeral services and interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial offerings may be made to N.F.
