- ames Warren Wilson of Lewiston, NY, formerly of the town of Cambria entered into rest Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Born in Newfane, NY the son of James Elwood Wilson and Viola A. Hanneman Wilson. He is predeceased by his wife Lucille A. Wilson, Daughter Karen A. Robinson and Son Steven W. Wilson. Also predeceased by his siblings, Adeline J. Smith, Lester I. Wilson, Genevieve R. Beers, Donald W. Wilson and Lee M. Wilson. Jim was a WWII Army Veteran serving from 1943 until 1946 being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant with the 311 Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division anti-tank Company at the battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Central Europe Rhineland. Receiving medals; Bronze Star, Army Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and Army occupation Medal as well as several others. Jim worked as a heavy equipment operator and member of the operating Engineers Local Union 463. He enjoyed bowling and was inducted into the Lockport Bowling Association Hall of Fame and was their former President. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing. He is survived by his loving companion MaryLou Shedd. His Children, Diane Zito of Tehachapi, CA, Janice (Paul) Lockwood of Lockport, NY, James Wilson of Lockport, NY, Tom (Debby) Wilson of Oceanside, CA and Timothy (late Julie) Wilson of Lockport, NY. Also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a son-in-law Michael Robinson. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on FRIDAY, October 5, 2018 from 4-8 Pm where a funeral service will be held on SATURDAY, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 Am. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
