(Aug. 15, 1972) in Veteran's
Administration Hospital,
Buffalo, after a four-month
illness.
He was born in Tonawanda
and was a World War II Army
veteran,, serving in the
European and Pacific
Theaters. '
He worked at various industries
prior to becoming a
barber. For the past 11 years,
he operated Herman's Barber
Shop at the Beach Ridge Road
address.
He was a member of the
Tonawanda Moose Lodge 2183,
Niagara Lodge No. 375 F & AM,
VFW Post 7545, American
Ugion Post 1451, the Wen-
delville Volunteer Fire Co.
the Exempt Club of the Wen-
delville Volunteer Fire Co. and
was also a life member of the
Western New York Volunteers
Association; a member of the
North Tonawanda Auxiliary
Police and the Niagara County
Auxiliary Police.
Survivors include his widow,
Lucile Boehnke; three sons,
Allan, Gary and Herman
Boehnke Jr.; and a daughter,
Nancy Boehnke, all at home;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto
(Amelia) Boehnke of
WhSatfield; four brothers,
Robert C. Boehnke of Lock-
~p6Ff7~Arnord H. and" Olfo
Boehnke Jr., both of the Town
of Pendleton, and Donald H.
Boehnke of Huntington Park,
Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Glenn
(Shirley) Meyers of the Town
of Wheatfield.
Funeral services will be held
at the Rhoney Funeral Home
(Pike and Jones), 5893 Hoover
Road, Sanborn, Friday at 2
p.m. with the Rev. David Huels
of St. Paul's United Church of
Christ, Wendelville, officiating.
Burial will be in
White Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Wednesday and
Thursday.
Memorial contributions to
the American Cancer Society
or St. Paul's Church, Wendelville,
are acceptable, the
family said
