Jackson H. Zimmerman, 78, of
550 24th St., died today (Oct.
26, 1968) in a Buffalo hospital
after a lengthy illness.
A native of Toronto, Ont.. he
came to Niagara Falls 70 years
ago. He was employed as an
dpertor and millwright at Olin
Mathieson Chemical Corp. for
20 years prior to his retirement
in 1958.
Mr. Zimmerman was a noted
raiser and breeder of canaries
here and had exhibited his birds
in many area shows.
His wife. Eliza, died July 18.
Surviving are five sons, Jack-
son S., George and James Zim-
merman, all of this city; Louis
Zimmerman, West Palm Beach,
Fla., and Stanley Zimmerman,
Olean; a daughter, Mrs. Winifred
Converse, this city; 11
grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
The Rev. Hans H. Klee, pasr
of Riverside United Presbyrian
Church will officiate at
services Monday at 11 a.m. at
the Lane Funeral Home. Burial
will be in Riverdale Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 a.m.
