Falls Man Dies
Of Heart Attack
After Checkup
A Niagara Falls man died of a
heart attack in a physician's office
last night (July 19, 1955) only a
few moments after he had been
given a cardiograph examination
for heart action.
Coroner F. Eugene Ingram, who
pronounced Roy H. Drake, 53, of
1365 Whitney .Ave., dead of natural
causes, said Mr. Drake had
been sent to the physician's office
by his own physician to whom he
had gone for a routine checkup.
Coroner Ingram said Mr. Drake
had been in apparent good health.
Mr. Drake came to this city 15
years ago from his native home
at Franklinville. He had been employed
as a pipefitter at. the DuPont
plant here.
He was a member of the Arcana
Lodge No. 580, F and AM, at
Austin, Pa.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Helen .Drake; a son, M/Sgt.
George N, Drake, U.S. Army in
Germany; two daughters, Mrs.
Leon Strassburg, Sanborn, and
Mrs. Eldred Ellman, North Tonawanda,
and a brother, Raymond
J. Drake, Fonthill, Ont.
Funeral services for Mr. Drake
will be conducted at the Gridley
Funeral Home^rt 10 a.m. on Friday
with the Rev, Chester C
Becbe officiating.
Burial will be in Franklinville.
