Burns Cause of Woman's Death
NORTH TONAWANOA - Critically burned while canning fruit at her home, 312 Niagara street, on Tuesday of this week, Mrs. Hattle S. Penslien. 62. died yesterday afternoon at the DeGraff Memorial hospital. She was alone at her home when her clothing caught fire and although several passing school boys rushed to her assistance the was fatally burned. Mrs. Penslien was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband, Frank, a daughter. Winnifred; two sisters. Mrs. Fred Ferzer. of this city, and Mrs. Fr:d Muckelburg, of Lockport. and a brother, William Schumacher,of Lockport. The funeral will be held Monday at 3 p. m. at the home. The Rev. Carl Frankenstein will officiate. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery.
