  Niagara Gazette - 12/7/1968 LOCKPORT — William P. Strassel Sr., 70, of 101 Woodlawn Ave., died today {Dec. 7, 196a) at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo, after a long illness. He was born in Lockport, Dec. 18, 1897, the son of William P. and Frances O'Connell Strassel and was a lifelong resident. He was a foreman in the tool room at the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp.; for 41 years retiring in 1962. He was a member of St. John's Church. , . He is survived by his wife, Alice Curtis Strassel, three sons,, Donald C. Strassel Newark, N.Y., William P. Jr and James E. Strassel both ol Lockport, a sister, Mrs. Franklin Oakes of Buffalo; two brothers, Claude - Strassel of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Leon P. Strassel of" Lockport, 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home where services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday foi lowed by a requiem Mass at 9 a.m. at" St. Patricks Church. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the fu neraihome. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
