J.C. Mangan
Dies at 77
James C. Mangan, 77, form-
\ erly of 820 16th St., and father
of Gazette circulation department
employe Edward F. Mangan,
Wheatfield. died in Ransomville
General Hospital Sunday
(Nov. 5, 1981) after a long
illness.
Born in Dunkirk. Mr. Mangan
lived here for 44 years and
was wire chief for the New
York Telephone Co. before retiring
in 1959. He was a member
of the Telephone Pioneers.
Also surviving are his wife.
i Mrs. Alice C. Mangan; another
| son, Paul C. Mangan. Ransomlville;
seven grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at t h e Gridley Funeral
Home. 750 Main St.. Wednesday
at 8:45 a.m. and at St.
Joseph's Church at 9:15 a.m.
Interment will be in Holy
Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
