WILLIAM STREBE DIES
Lifelong Tonawanda Resident Passes
in DeGraff Hospital
TONAWANDA. Dec. 24-William
F. Strebe, 57, of 452 Morgan street,
died Thursday night at the De-
Graff Memorial hospital. He was a
lifelong resident of Tonawanda and
was employed as shipping clerk at
the plant of the VanRaalte Silk
Mills on Sweeney street for the past
30 years. He was a member of
the Immanuel Lutheran church and
the Men's club of the church.
Surviving are a wife, Caroline,
two sons; Edward, Los Angeles, and
Norman, Alexandria, Va.; two
grandchildren, two brothers, Emil,
Eldorado, Ont.,, and Albert, Eliza-
beth, N.J., and three sisters, Mrs.
Carl Heppner, Tonawanda, Mrs.
Albert Clark, North Tonawanda,
and Mrs. Alma Finkenbeiner, San-
dusky, Mich.
Services will be held Monday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the resi-
dence. The Rev. f. O. Scholz will of-
ficiate and interment will be in
Elmlawn.
