John H. Graves, 71, of 427 E.
Union St. this city, a retired
mail supervisor at Harrison
Radiator Division, General
Motors Corp., Will be held at
11 a. m. Wednesday at t h e
Bream and Lange Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Trinity
Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Graves, a native Of this
city, died Sunday (Sept. 6,
1960) at Inter-Community Memorial
Hospital, Newfane, after
a 4-year illness.
He was born here Aug. 12,
1888, the son of John and Jenny
Andrews Graves. He retired
three years ago after working
at the Harrison firm for 30
years.
He Was a Navy veteran, an
honorary deacon of Plymouth
Congressional Church, a past
commandant of Navy Ship No.
110 and was active in Niagara
County, civil defense work.
Mr. Graves is survived by
his wife, Mrs. Florence A
Graves, and a daughter, Mrs.
Harvey Strassburg, both of
Lockport; a son, John G
Graves, Fayetteville, N.C,;
three grandchildren and sev-
eral nieces and nephews.
