Jane M. Nassoiy, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in Mercy Hospital. She was born in Bradford, PA, on September 26, 1933, the daughter of the late James and Madeline (Pearson) Scanlan. Mrs. Nassoiy graduated LaSalle Senior High School and went on to Niagara University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She was employed at St. Mary's Hospital and Niagara University as a Registered Nurse until she retired.
She was the wife of the late James J. Nassoiy, they were married for 52 years. She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Sue) Nassoiy, Daniel (Lee) Nassoiy and Michael (Dorothy) Nassoiy; two daughters, Mary K. Nassoiy and Karen (Michael) Terrana; grandchildren, Michael and Christina Terrana, Gerard and Crystal Smith, Elisa, Renee and Alea Nassoiy; sister, Joanne (late Jerald) Cuddahee; sister-in-law, Patricia Diez. She was the sister of the late James Scanlan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:30 AM at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY, with Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association, Western New York, 2805 Wehrle Drive #6, Buffalo, NY 14221. Inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
