  HOEFERT - Herbert W. Hoefert, 77, of North Tonawanda, NY, Monday, (December 23, 1965) at the Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw, NY. Son of the late Frederick A. Hoefert, former North Tonawanda Police Chief and the late Minna A. (nee Rohde) Hoefert; brother of Mrs. Adeline Osberg of Dublin, Wilbert C (Charlotte) Hoefert of Clyde, Ohio, Mrs. Glenn T (Amy) Wardell of North Tonawanda and the late Florence Reinhard. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hoefert was a former employee at White Chapel Memorial Park. He was a member of the Tonawanda United Methodist Church and the church choir. He was an Army Veteran of World War II serving in Europe, a member of Tonawanda Post #264 American Legion, the VFW and also a member of the Sweeney Hose Company. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hillard Funeral Home Inc., 147 Delaware St., Tonawanda where services will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. Rev. Eldon D. Snyder officiating. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Park.
