Airman's Body Awaited By Parents
WHEATFIELD - Parents of Airman 2nd Class Ronald Jendrian, 19, who was killed Thursday (Feb. 1, 1962) in an Oklahoma auto accident today were awaiting'information on return of their son's body. Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Jendrian were notified by telegram of their son's death shortly, before noon Thursday. A later telegram notified them that the body would be shipped here. A letter was to follow with time of arrival. Airman Jendrian was killed when he lost control of his car on Oklahoma highway No,. 44,, southwest of Lone Wolf, Okla. The car plunged 125 feet down.the side of a mountain. Airman Jendrian, whose home is at 7146 Schultz Road, was stationed at Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Okla. He attended Burgard Vocational School, Buffalo, and enlisted in the Air Force Dec. 13, 1960. He had been home on leave for Christmas. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tondwanda. In addition to his parents, surviving are two brothers, Specialist 4th Class Gerald Jendrian, with a radar squadron on Okinawa, and Richard Jendrian, at home; a sister, Mrs. Gerald W. Daniel, Tonawanda; and his grandfather, Fred Jendrian, Tonawanda. Funeral services will be arranged at the Roth Funeral Home, Tonawanda
