TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — August J. "Gus" Siuta, Jr., of Town of Wheatfield, entered into eternal life, unexpectedly, Monday, November 19, 2012, at the age of 75. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Mr. Siuta resided in Wheatfield for the past 41 years. A U.S. Army veteran, Gus was stationed in France. He was a retired employee of Carborundum, Niagara Falls, where he worked for 30 years and was presently an employee of Colton R.V., Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield. Mr. Siuta was a former member of the former St. Stanislaus Church, Niagara Falls, member of the Polka Boosters Club, Third Degree member Madonna Council #2535 Knights of Columbus and Fourth Degree member of the Trinity Assembly. Also a member of the Color Corp. He was an avid Polka dancer, enjoyed bowling and traveling. Gus and his wife, Julie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 13, 2012.
Beloved husband of Julia (nee Ryndak) Siuta. Dearest father of Carolyn (Mike) Smith of Wheatfield and Mark A. Siuta of Lockport. Proud and loving grandpa of Sean, Jennifer, Colin and Matthew Smith. Dear brother of Stella Ryndak, Joanne Nickles, both of North Tonawanda; and John (Diane) Siuta of Lockport. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on WEDNESDAY, November 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda (692-0271).
Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (Oliver St.) for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated FRIDAY at 9:30 AM. The Rev. James Hassett officiating. Interment, Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. Flowers graciously declined. Memorial gifts may be made in Gus's honor to Madonna Council #2535 Knights of Columbus.
Knights of Columbus will have services on WEDNESDAY at 7:30 PM.
