Masonic memorial services and
funeral services for Edward Suitor,
81, of 2010 Sixteenth street, who
was stricken fatally while attending
se/vices stthe First Christian church
yesterday, will be held at the Gridley
Funeral home.
Mr. Suitor was at the 11 a.m. services
at the church when he suffered
the sudden illness. He made his
way to .his car parked near the
church, but was dead when a Fire
department inhalator squad, under
(he direction of Batallion Chief Harry
Crowe arrived shortly afterward.
The Niagara River Lodge 735, F
and AM, wilt conduct memorial services
for Mr. Suitor at 7:30 p.m.
tomorrow at the funeral home. Funeral
services will be conducted by
the Rev. Jesse J. Simoson at the funeral
home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Mr. Suitor retired from the Niagara
Falls Power company 12 years
ago after 50 yean service. He was
a leader in affairs at the church
at Michigan avenue and Tenth street
and was serving as a deacon and
trustee at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Niagara
River lodge, a 50-year member of
Bellevue Lodge 316, IOOF, and a
member of the Juniaga club.
Born in Youngstown. Mr. Suitor
had lived* in Niagara Falls for the
last 55 years.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret,
a son. Thomas Suitor, Elmira; a sister,
Mrs. Elizabeth Hooker; three
brothers, Thomas, George H. and
Roy B. Suitor, this city. He also
is survived by three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mt. St. View
cemetery, Pekin.
